Samenvatting
In dit onderzoek staat de vraag centraal: ‘Wie ben ik als ik preek?’ Daarmee wordt een bijdrage geleverd aan de reflectie op de prediking en dan met name aan de theorievorming betreffende de persoon van de prediker. Voor de beantwoording van de vraag naar het zelfverstaan van de prediker wordt de term ‘zelfbeeld’ gebruikt als een soort zoekontwerp. Met behulp van dit begrip wordt de homiletische reflectie op de persoon van de prediker georganiseerd. De focus ligt daarbij vooral op het theo-logische aspect van het zelfbeeld. Tegen de achtergrond van de moderne aandacht voor het zelf wordt het zelfbeeld van de prediker getekend zoals dat naar voren komt in de moderne homiletiek. Vervolgens wordt dit zelfbeeld door middel van herbron-ning verbonden aan het zelfbeeld van de prediker Paulus. Op die manier wordt het bestaande zelfbeeld verrijkt en kritisch bevraagd. De hypothese die aan deze werk¬wijze ten grondslag ligt is dat de homiletiek erbij gebaat is als in een veranderde context opnieuw de verbinding gezocht wordt met de Bijbel als primaire bron van de theologie. Dit onderzoek biedt daarom ook een vingeroefening in het verwerken van bijbelse theologie in de homiletiek.

| Samenvatting (EN): | In this study the central question is: “Who am I as a preacher?” Consequently, the goal is to contribute to the reflection on preaching, particularly on the theoretical thinking about the person of the preacher. In addressing the question of the self-understanding of the preacher, the term “self-image” is used as a research idea. Thus, homiletic reflection on the person of the preacher is organized around this concept, though the focus is primarily on the theological aspect of the preacher’s self-image. Against the backdrop of the modern emphasis upon the self, a picture will be presented of the self-image of the preacher as it is found in contemporary homi¬letics. Subsequently, a revitalization of this self-image is attempted through a con¬nection with the self-image of Paul, the New Testament preacher. In this manner, the contemporary self-image of the preacher is both enriched and critically ques¬tioned. The underlying hypothesis is that homiletic inquiry in an ever-changing context constantly benefits from retaining the Bible as the primary foundation for theological inquiry. This study, therefore, provides an exercise in the assimilation of biblical theology as it relates to homiletics. |
